This command performs a variety of standard Metallic Line Tests on the specified VoIP line card
connection.
The following example tests the REN of the line connected to port 8 of slot 4.
23.5.2 diagnostic mlt show Command
Syntax:
diagnostic mlt show <slot-port>
This command displays the results of the last Metallic Line Test that was run on the specified VoIP
line card port.
The following example shows the result of the last test conducted on the line connected to port 8 of
slot 4.
23.5.3 diagnostic mlt relay set Command
Syntax:
diagnostic mlt relay set <slot-port> in|out|both|off
where
This command turns the test relay function on or off on the specified port. When the test relay
function is on, you can run tests using diagnostic equipment connected to the TEST IN and TEST
OUT ports. When the test relay function is off, you cannot run line tests. Test relay functions are off
by default.
<type>
Only all, ring and digit have <type> to select.
With all: <type>: use 0 to perform all tests or 1 to test AC voltage, DC voltage,
isolation resistance, and capacitance.
With ring: <type>: use 0 to have the system automatically start and stop
ringing or use 1 to manually start the ringing and 2 to manually stop the ringing.
With digit: <type>: use 0 for automatic testing or 1 for manual testing. With
1, use <count> to specify how many manual inputs are required to finish the
test.
