Chapter 29 port Commands
Management Switch Card User’s Guide
827
The following example sets port 5 on the VDSL card in slot 4 to accept both tagged and untagged
VLAN frames.
29.41.5 port vdsl frequencyplan Command
Syntax:
port vdsl frequencyplan <slot-port> <997|998>
where
This command sets the band plan the VDSL port(s) uses.
The following example shows the configuration of port 5 on the VDSL card in slot 4 for an
asymmetric connection.
29.41.6 port vdsl ginp Command
Syntax:
port vdsl ginp <slot-port> xtuc|xtur [etrmax <etrmax>] [etrmin <etrmin>] [ndrmax
<ndrmax>] [shineratio <shineratio>] [leftrthreshold <leftrthreshold>] [maxdelay
<maxdelay>] [mindelay <mindelay>] [inpmin <inpmin>] [inpminrein <inpminrein>]
[reinfreq <reinfreq>] [rtxmode <rtxmode>]
where
ras> port vdsl frametype 4-5 all
<997|998>
=
Selects a band plan to use. For symmetric connections, use 997.
A
For
asymmetric connections, enter
998.
A. Band plan 997 is not supported at the time of writing.
ras> port vdsl frequencyplan 4-5 998
xtuc =
Set parameters for downstream transmissions.
xtur =
Set parameters for upstream transmissions.
etrmax,
etrmin
=
The minimum and maximum effective (allowed) throughput rates, 0~100032 in
kbps.
ndrmax =
The maximum net data rate in kbps, 0~100032 in kbps.
shinerat
io
=
A Single High Impulse Noise Event (SHINE) is non-periodical (random) electrical
noise encountered on DSL lines. They are usually large pulses that have a short
duration. Specify the assumed fraction of NDR to correct SHINE noise. 0~100 in
units of 0.001.
leftrthr
eshold
=
Specify the threshold for declaring a Low Error-Free Troughput Rate defect. This is a
percent of the net data rate. 0~99 in units of 0.01.
maxdelay =
Specify the maximum number of milliseconds (0~63) of retransmission delays. It is
recommended that you configure the same delays for both upstream and
downstream.
