Detected communication abnormality with CRUM of Drum Cartridge (K).
Cause/Action
1.Turn the power OFF and ON.
2.Turn OFF the power and check the following:
• Disconnection, shortage or contact failure of wire between DRIVE PWB J407 and Xero CRUM
Connector Assembly (K) J108.
• Damage, contamination by foreign substances of the joining terminal between CRUM PWB of
Drum Cartridge (K) and CRUM of Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (K).
• Uncleanness, dislocation of CRUM PWB of Drum Cartridge (K).
• Drum Cartridge (K) setup error.
If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence:
• Drum Cartridge (K) (PL 8.1)
• Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (K) (PL 8.2)
• DRIVE PWB (PL 18.2)
091-915 Drum CRUM K Data Broken

Detected inequality in write data and read data of CRUM of Drum Cartridge (K).
Cause/Action
Unplug and plug the Drum Cartridge (K) back in and check for any setup error.
If no problem is found, replace the Drum Cartridge (K). (PL 8.1)
091-917 Drum CRUM Y Communication Fail

Detected communication abnormality with CRUM of Drum Cartridge (Y).
Cause/Action
1.Turn the power OFF and ON.
2.Turn OFF the power and check the following:
• Disconnection, shortage or contact failure of wire between DRIVE PWB J407 and Xero CRUM
Connector Assembly (Y) J105.
• Damage, contamination by foreign substances of the joining terminal between CRUM PWB of
Drum Cartridge (Y) and CRUM of Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (Y).
• Uncleanness, dislocation of CRUM PWB of Drum Cartridge (Y).
• Drum Cartridge (Y) setup error.
If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence:
• Drum Cartridge (Y) (PL 8.1)
• Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (Y) (PL 8.2)
• DRIVE PWB (PL 18.2)

1.Turn the power OFF and ON.
2.Turn OFF the power and check the following:

• Damage, contamination by foreign substances of the joining terminal between CRUM PWB of
Drum Cartridge (M) and CRUM of Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (M).
• Uncleanness, dislocation of CRUM PWB of Drum Cartridge (M).
• Drum Cartridge (M) setup error.
If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence:
• Drum Cartridge (M) (PL 8.1)
• Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (M) (PL 8.2)
• DRIVE PWB (PL 18.2)

Cause/Action
1.Turn the power OFF and ON.
2.Turn OFF the power and check the following:

Connector Assembly (C) J107.
• Damage, contamination by foreign substances of the joining terminal between CRUM PWB of
Drum Cartridge (C) and CRUM of Xero CRUM Connector Assembly (C).
• Uncleanness, dislocation of CRUM PWB of Drum Cartridge (C).
• Drum Cartridge (C) setup error.
