Troubleshooting
The 2nd sheet or later of the document was detected to be of a different size compared to the 1st sheet
(the length of the document’s 2nd sheet or later in SS direction is longer).
Cause/Action
1. Check the size of the document that was fed by the User.
2. If the error is not cleared, check the following:
• Malfunction of DADF Pre Regi. Sensor (DADF IIT Input[005-206]). (PL 56.14)
• Malfunction of Document Tray Size Sensor 1/2 (DADF IIT Input[005-221/222]). (PL 56.11)
3. If no problem is found, replace the DADF PWB. (PL 56.2)
005-198 Too Short Size Jam

The length of vertical scanning direction of the document is less than the specified value (Simplex:
85mm, Duplex: 110mm).
Cause/Action
Check the size of the document that was fed by the user. If it is within the permitted length for DADF
transport, check the following:
• Malfunction of DADF Pre Regi. Sensor (DADF IIT Input[005-206]). (PL 56.14)
• Malfunction of Document Tray Size Sensor 1/2 (DADF IIT Input[005-221/222]). (PL 56.11)
If no problem is found, replace the DADF PWB. (PL 56.2)
005-199 Too Long Size Jam

The length of vertical scanning direction of the document is the specified value or more (Simplex:
1,275mm, Duplex: 480.1mm).
Cause/Action
Check the size of the document that was fed by the user. If it is within the permitted length for DADF
transport, check the following:
• Malfunction of DADF Pre Regi. Sensor (DADF IIT Input[005-206]). (PL 56.14)
• Malfunction of Document Tray Size Sensor 1/2 (DADF IIT Input[005-221/222]). (PL 56.11)
If no problem is found, replace the DADF PWB. (PL 56.2)
005-210 DADF Download Fail

When the IISS starts up (including at Power ON/Sleep recovery), it was detected that the DADF is in
Download Mode. There was an error in DADF download; the ROM is corrupted. (Includes the case that
was replaced to half-raw ROM in the market and powered ON.)
Cause/Action
Install the latest F/W of DADF.
005-211 DADF-FW Version Error
BSD-ON:CH3.2
This is an unsupported DADF-FW Version.
Cause/Action
Download the correct version of DADF-FW.
005-275 DADF RAM Fail
BSD-ON:CH3.2
RAM failure on DADF PWB was detected. (At Power ON)
Cause/Action
1. Turn the power OFF and ON.
2. If the problem persists, replace the DADF PWB. (PL 56.2)
005-280 DADF EEPROM Fail
BSD-ON:CH3.2
Write failure to DADF EEPROM or communication failure with EEPROM was detected.
Cause/Action
1. Turn the power OFF and ON.
2. If the problem persists, replace the DADF PWB. (PL 56.2)
005-305 DADF Feeder Cover Interlock Open
