6.1.14 Tray (Paper Feed)
6.1.14.1 Paper Trays
Paper Trays refer to all type of Trays that are pulled out towards the front.The MSI is installed on the left
side of the IOT by default.
6.1.14.2 Paper Tray Characteristics
*1: B Zone/Fresh Paper, P Paper
*2: Standard IBG 80gsm
*3: Feeding of paper with length 98.4 - 134.9mm has limitations such as envelope skew and trailing edge
damage.
*4: No fixed auto-detect function
6.1.14.3 Remaining Paper Amount Detection
• In the case of Tray2 (STM optional) with the lift-up mechanism, the power is turned OFF during lift-
up, if the power is turned ON again without removing the Tray, and the Tray is inserted again while
the Bottom Plate has not dropped, the remaining paper amount cannot be detected correctly.
6.1.14.4 Load while RUN
The function that enables loading of paper into a Tray that is not being used while printing is in progress
is available.
However, as the Lift Up is performed for each Tray, this Lift Up is performed by Exclusive Control.
