56. DADF

ADJ 56.1.1 DADF Lead-Skew Adjustment
Parts List on PL 56.1
Purpose
To correct the feeding of the original by adjusting the position of the
DADF. (DADF Lead-Skew, Perpendicularity)
Check
1. Place the Test Chart (499T283) on the DADF.
2. Make a copy using the following settings in Copy mode.
• Color Mode: "Black"
• Paper Tray: "A3"
• Reduce/Enlarge: "100%"
• No. of Copies: "3"
3. Check that the difference in the distance (A and B) from the
side edges of the 3 copies is within 0 +/-0.5 mm. (Figure 1)

Adjustment
1. Remove the DADF Rear Cover. (REP 56.2.2)
2. Adjust the position of the DADF by moving the DADF in direc-
tion A or B. (Figure 2)
(1) Loosen the screw (x3).
(2) Move the DADF in direction A or B.
(3) Tighten the screw (x3).

3. Reinstall the DADF Rear Cover.
4. After adjustment, perform DADF Side Regi (ADJ 56.1.2) and
DADF Lead Edge Regi. (ADJ 56.1.3).
