3.2.1 How to use the image quality troubleshooting (IOT/IIT/DADF)

Image Quality Troubleshooting
There are 11 levels for DADF job, Platen job correction level and can be changed with NVM.
[Explanation of Adjustment Value]
• Adjust closer to 0 when you want to decrease the sharpness.
• Adjust closer to 10 when you want to increase the sharpness.
0: Disable the correction processing.
1: Make it smooth overall.
2 ~ 4: Somewhere in the middle.
5: Correct the standard level.
6 ~ 9: Somewhere in the middle.
10: Perform the strongest emphasis processing.

NOTE: Defect such as roughness or Moire may occur on the image if it is overly emphasized.
IQ-25 The output image gets blurred with Book document or
three-dimensional object.
The focus goes out for the seam of Book document or three-dimensional object which blurs the object.

[Cause]
The CIS device used in DC SC2020 is a read device with shallow depth of focus in general.Due to this,
the focus goes out especially for the seam of Book document or three-dimensional object which blurs the
object.
[Procedure]
1. Check with Book document.
[Corrective action]
1. This can be improved by pressing the document to the platen glass when copying.
