7.22 Other functions
Chapter 7
When reading bar codes of the patient list, read
while keeping the distance from the bar codes to
approx. 5 to 10 cm. Sometimes it is not possible
to read outside this range.

Reading distance will vary depending on the
size of bar code and code system.
Connect one PC to one Bluetooth bar code read-
er in tandem. Do not connect multiple units.
During normal operation, if the PC is shut down,
connection of Bluetooth communication is discon-
nected, and the power of the bar code reader is
turned o󰀨 5 minutes later.
The valid digit number cannot be set, depending
on the barcode reader used.

Magnetic card reader
When a card is read while the screen saver is op-
erating, some data may be lost. Perform reading
after the screen saver is released.
After reading magnetic data, always check that
the patient information displayed on the screen
matches the patient information written on the
magnetic card.
Insert the magnetic card from the edge of the
magnetic card reader unit, and slide horizontally
to the opposite edge.
While the magnetic data is being read, do not
perform input. Sometimes magnetic data gets
mixed with data input by input operation.
7.22.7 Addition of high preci-
sion monitor
An optional high precision monitor can be connected
to this device.
The following are precautionary items when a high
precision monitor is used.
The image that has focus on the exposure screen
or the image displayed on the viewer screen is dis-
played. Unexposed images on the list screen, the
body part selection screen, and the exposure screen
are not displayed.

Images cannot be manipulated on the high precision
monitor. Perform manipulation of images with this device.
Since high precision monitors has a di󰀨erent aspect
ratio from that of the exposure screen and viewer
screen, when you enlarge, reduce, or move an image
on the exposure screen or viewer screen, an image of
a di󰀨erent area may be displayed on such a monitor.
