This dialog provides settings for configuration of a rectangular test signal. A rectan-
gular test signal with a duty factor of 0.5 is created. Amplitude and offset are
adjustable. Both paths, I and Q, use the same signal.
For more information, refer to Chapter 3.6.2.2, "ARB Test Signals", on page 147.
Settings:
Frequency................................................................................................................... 157
Samples per Period.....................................................................................................157
Amplitude.................................................................................................................... 157
Offset DC.....................................................................................................................157

Frequency
Enters the frequency of the test signal.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TSIGnal:RECTangle:FREQuency on page 747
Samples per Period
Enters the number of sample values required for the rectangular signal per period.
The maximum allowed value is determined by the maximum ARB clock rate (see data
sheet) and the selected frequency.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TSIGnal:RECTangle:SAMPles on page 748
Amplitude
Enters the digital amplitude of the rectangular wave. The abbreviation FS means full
scale.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TSIGnal:RECTangle:AMPLitude on page 747
Offset DC
Enters a DC component.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TSIGnal:RECTangle:OFFSet on page 747
Generate Signal File
Generates a signal and saves it as a waveform file on the hard disk. Use the standard
"File Select" function to store this file.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TSIGnal:RECTangle:CREate:NAMed
on page 749
Generate Signal RAM
Generates a signal and uses it as output straight away. The instrument stores the file
with a predefined name.
