The trigger event is the active edge of an external trigger signal provided and con-
figured at the User x connectors.
"Baseband Sync In"
In master-slave mode, slave instruments are triggered by the active edge of the
synchronization signal.
The polarity, the trigger threshold, and the input impedance of the input connectors can
be configured in the "Global Connector Settings" dialog.
See:
"Trigger Sources" on page 97.
See Chapter 10.2, "Configuring the Global Connectors", on page 515.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger:SOURce on page 725
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger:SOURce on page 773
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:MCCW:TRIGger:SOURce on page 792
Sync. Output to External Trigger/Sync. Output to Trigger
Enables signal output synchronous to the trigger event.
For a detailed description of the impact of this parameter, see "Impact of the Additional
Trigger Settings" on page 100.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger:EXTernal:SYNChronize:OUTPut
on page 726
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:SYNChronize:OUTPut

External / Trigger Inhibit
Sets the duration with that any following trigger event is suppressed. In "Retrigger"
mode for example, a new trigger event does not cause a restart of the signal genera-
tion until the specified inhibit duration does not expire.
Applies for:
External trigger signal
For more information, see "Impact of the Additional Trigger Settings" on page 100.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:INHibit on page 728
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:INHibit on page 776
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:MCCW:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:INHibit on page 792
(External) Delay Unit
Determine whether the trigger delay is expressed in samples or directly defined as a
time period (seconds).
To specify the delay, use the (Specified) External Delay/(Specified) Trigger Delay
The parameter Actual Trigger Delay/Actual External Delay displays the delay conver-
ted in time.
