The combination of disc (7) and brake plate (6) is
placed in a brake case (1) immersed in transmission
oil and is so designed that the cam mechanism with
steel balls (8) presses the cam plate (3) against the
brake disc (7) rotating together with the differential gear
shaft. When the brake pedal is pressed, the force
causes the brake cam shaft lever (2) to move via the
brake rod.

This also causes the brake cam shaft (14) to move,
which in turn moves the cam plate (3). Since the steel
ball (8) are set in the grooves of brake case (1), the
cam plate (3) is pushed out against the brake disc (7)
to cause braking by the friction created.

2.1 STRUCTURE
Independent mechanical wet disc brakes are used for
the right and left traveling brakes. They are operated by
the brake pedals through the mechanical linkages,
provide stable braking and require little adjustment.
The parking brake is a mechanical type, which is de-
signed to actuate the traveling brakes through the
linkage. Pulling the parking brake lever has the same
results as pressing the brake pedal.
