Possible Cause
• Blown 5 amp fuse
• Malfunctioning sending unit
• Improper ground circuit
• Malfunctioning fuel gauge
Condition
Inoperative fuel
gauge
Remedy
• Replace the 5 amp fuse
• Test the sending unit and replace if necessary
• Check the ground source.
• Test the fuel gauge and replace if necessary
3.4 TROUBLE SHOOTING FUEL LEVEL CIRCUIT
Possible Cause
• Low oil pressure
• Malfunctioning sender
• Short circuit of sensor wire to ground
• Malfunctioning instrument panel
Condition
Oil pressure
warning light
stays “ON”
Remedy
• Check the engine oil pressure
• Test the sensor and replace if necessary
• Check the circuit
• Test the oil pressure gauge and replace if
necessary

signal wiring (yellow)
• Defective tachometer

• Check the alternator signal
• Check the tachometer

Charging lamp

• Replace the fuse
