Second environment - category C3
Interference immunity
The converters with integrated line filters have been tested in accordance with the immunity
requirements of category C3, second environment, and fulfill the requirements according to EN
61800-3.
Emitted interference
The converters comply with the limit values of the second environment, category C3 when the
following conditions are satisfied:
● EMC-compliant installation and configuration by qualified technician
● Operation on TN or TT line supply with star-point grounded
● Permissible motor cable length
Maximum permissible motor cable length (Page 64)
● Shielded motor cable with low capacitance
● Pulse freqency restrictions:
– FSA ... FSG: Pulse frequency ≤ factotory setting
General converter technical data (Page 864)
– FSH/FSJ: pulse frequency ≤ 2 Hz
● With line filter (external or internal)
– The converters FSA ... FSJ with integrated line filters are suitable for operation in the
second environment, Category C3.
– The unfiltered converters FSA ... FSC with external line filters are suitble for operation in
the second environment, Category C3.
– The unfiltered converters FSD ... FSG with external line filters are suitble for operation in
the second environment, Category C3.

WARNING
Use the device in the second environment
This device is designed for operation in the second (industrial) environment and may not be
used in the first (residential) environment unless the appropriate noise suppression measures
have been adopted.
Note
Fault of the wireless services caused by high-frequency faults in residential environments
This product can cause high-frequency interferences in a residential environment that can
require radio interference suppression measures.
● Have the installation and commissioning with appropriate radio interference suppression
measures preformed by qualified personnel.
