Theory of Operation
• Registration Clutch
The Registration Clutch transmits drive energy from the Main Drive to the
rubber registration roller, and transports paper from the Tray and manual feed
slot toward the Imaging Unit. The timing of sheets feeding from the
Registration Assembly is adjusted by the duration of the Registration Clutch
operation so that the toner image on the drum is transferred to the correct
position on the sheet.
