Error Messages and Codes
Load Tray or Illegal Settings
The type or size of paper mismatched or the Tray is empty. The following
troubleshooting procedure applies to this error.

Initial Actions
• Check the Tray for obstructions, supported media, and guide adjustment.
• Check the No Paper Sensor Actuator function.
• Cycle printer power.
• If the problem persists, follow the procedure below.

Does the display change when the
Actuator is activated?
Replace the
MCU Board
(page 8-57).
Go to step 4.
4 Check the wiring harness connectors
P/J23, P/J234 between the No Paper
Sensor and the MCU Board.
Are the connections secure?
Go to step 5. Reconnect the
connectors.
