MAINTENANCE AN D SERVICING
Installin g Side Dr aper Idler Roller
1. Position stub shaft in idler roller in forward arm (B)
on deck.
2. Push on roller to deflect forward arm slightly so that
stub shaft at rear of roller can be slipped into rear
arm (C).
3. Install bolts (A) with washers, and torque to 70 ft·lbf
(93 N ·m).
4. Wrap the draper over the idler roller, reconnect it and
set the tension. Refer to 5 .1 2.2 In stalling D rap ers,
page 334.
5. Run machine to verify that draper tracks correctly.
Adjust tracking if required. Refer to 5.12.4 Adjusting
Header Draper Tracking, page 337.

1. If draper connec
tor is not visible, engage the header until the connector is accessible, preferably close to the
outboard end of t
he deck.
WARNING
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up or fall of raised machine, always stop engine,
remove key, and engage safety props before going under machine for any reason.
2. Raise header and ree l, and then shutdown the engine.
3. Engage header lift c ylinder safety props and reel lift cylinder safety props.
4. Loosen draper by turning adjuster bolt (A)
counterclockwise.
