Using This Guide

Structure of This Guide
Theguideisorganizedasfollows:
Chapter 1,Introduction,providesanoverviewofthetasksthatcanbeaccomplishedusingthe
CLIinterface,anoverviewoflocalmanagementrequirements,anoverviewofthedevice’sfactory
defaultsettings,andinformationaboutusingtheCommandLineInterface(CLI).
Chapter 2,BasicConfiguration,provides
howtosetbasicsystemproperties,howtodownloada
firmwareimage,howtoconfigureWebViewandTelnet,howtomanageconfigurationfiles,how
tosettheloginpassword,andhowtoexittheCLI.
Chapter 3,DiscoveryProtocolConfigurationprovideshowtoconfigurediscoveryprotocols
supportedbythedevice.
Chapter 4,Port
Configuration,describeshowtoreviewandconfigureconsoleportsettings,and
howtoenableordisableswitchportsandconfigureswitchportsettings,includingportspeed,
duplexmode,auto‐negotiation,flowcontrol,portmirroring,linkaggegationandbroadcast
suppression.
Chapter 5,SNMPConfiguration,describeshowtoconfigureSNMPusersand
usergroups,access
rights,targetaddresses,andnotificationparameters.
