Troubleshooting Procedure

1 Does the error occur when the power
is turned ON?
Go to step 2. Go to step 5.
2 1.Open the stacker rear cover.
2.Check for paper at the stacker
actuator.
Does the paper remain at stacker
actuator?
Remove the
paper, and then
go to step 3.
Go to “Stacker
Sensor” on
page 4-59.
3 Manually operate the stacker actuator.
Does the stacker actuator move
smoothly when you move it?
Go to step 4. Replace the
stacker actuator
(“Stacker
Sensor and
Actuator” on
page 8-122).
4 Does the error occur when the power
is turned ON?
Go to “Stacker
Sensor” on
page 4-59.
Go to step 5.
5 1.Remove the stacker, then re-install
it.
2.Enter Service Diagnostics, and from
the Engine Test Print menu
select Output Tray, then select
Stacker.
3.From the Engine Test Print menu
select Print Test Pattern.
Does the error still occur when the
stacker is selected as the output
tray?
Go to step 6. Problem solved.
