10.8.3 Overcurrent monitoring
This funcon monitors the instantaneous value of the motor current and serves as motor pro-
tecon.
WARNING!
With an incorrect parameterisaon, the maximum permissible motor current may be excee-
ded in the process.
Possible consequences: irreversible damage of the motor.
Avoid motor damages by using the overcurrent monitoring funcon as follows:

The seng of the threshold for the overcurrent monitoring in 0x2D46:001 (P353.01) must
be adapted to the connected motor.

Set the maximum output current of the inverter in 0x6073 (P324.00) much lower than the
threshold for overcurrent monitoring.

The inverter monitors its output current. This monitoring is independent of the maximum
overload current seng. 4Maximum overload current of the inverter^ 240

If the instantaneous value of the motor current exceeds the threshold set in 0x2D46:001
(P353.01), the response set in 0x2D46:002 (P353.02) takes place.

With the seng 0x2D46:002 (P353.02) = "No response [0]", the monitoring funcon is
deacvated.
The threshold for the overcurrent monitoring is preset to four mes the rated motor current.
This preseng is overwrien in case a motor in the engineering tool is selected from the
"motor catalog" or the automac idencaon or calibraon of the motor data is carried out.
For a suitable protecon, the automacally adapted seng should be used. If disturbances
occur during operaon, the value can be increased.

The parameter can also be set and overwrien by selecng a motor
from the "motor catalogue" of the engineering tool or performing an
automac calibraon of the motor.
