12.10.2.1 Parameterising addional funcons
Holding brake
The holding brake must be acvated via the control word CiA402 (0x6040).
1.Set the brake mode to manual in the "Overview / advanced - motor brake control set" mask.
The holding brake can now be released via bit 14 of the control word CiA402.
DC braking
The DC braking must be acvated via the NetWordIn1 interface. The L_MC1P_BasicActuang-
Speed funconal module can be used to denively trigger the brake, whereby the wLCon-
trolword property is available. This property corresponds to the NetwordIN1 parameter.
A further conguraon of the DC braking itself can sll be undertaken with the usual device
parameters. Change the other parameters of the axis if necessary.
The following parameters must be observed:
Parameter
Address Name / seng range / [default seng] Info
0x2541:001
(P706.01)
Brake energy management: Operang mode
(Brake management: Operang mode)
Selecon of the braking method.
The braking method(s) selected is/are acvated if the DC-bus voltage
exceeds the voltage threshold for the braking operaon shown in
0x2541:002 (P706.02).
0 Brake resistor The integrated brake chopper (brake transistor) is used.
4Use of a brake resistor^ 521
1 Ramp funcon generator stop (RFGS) The deceleraon ramp funcon generator is stopped.
4Stopping the deceleraon ramp funcon generator^ 523
2 Brake resistor + RFGS The brake resistor is supplied with current and the deceleraon ramp
funcon generator is stopped.
3 Inverter motor brake (IMB) + RFGS Braking with the "Inverter motor brake" braking method in connecon
with "Deceleraon ramp funcon generator stop" is executed.
4Inverter motor brake^ 524
4 Brake resistor + IMB + RFGS Braking is performed by combining all three braking procedures.

Funcon list: Enable inverter
(Funcon list: Enable inverter)
Seng can only be changed if the inverter is inhibi-
ted.
Further seng opons: 4Trigger list ^ 64
Assignment of a trigger for the "Enable inverter" funcon.
Trigger = TRUE: The inverter is enabled (unless there is another cause for
inverter disable).
Trigger = FALSE: The inverter is disabled.
Notes:
This funcon must be set to TRUE to start the motor. The signal TRUE
is acvated either via an assigned digital input or the default seng
"Constant TRUE [1]".
Changing to the inhibited state causes an immediate stop of the
motor, regardless of the stop method set in 0x2838:003 (P203.03).
The motor becomes torqueless and coasts down.
The cause(s) for the inhibited state are shown in 0x282A:001
(P126.01).
4Example: Enable inverter ^ 73
1 Constant TRUE Trigger is constantly TRUE.
