7.2.3 Motor potenometer (MOP)
The "Motor potenometer" funcon can be used as an alternave setpoint control that is
controlled via two funcons: "MOP setpoint up" and "MOP setpoint down".
Details
If the motor potenometer is acve as the setpoint source, the setpoint generated by this
funcon ("MOP value") can be changed according to following the truth table via the triggers
assigned to the two funcons "MOP setpoint up" and "MOP setpoint down":
MOP setpoint up
0x2631:023 (P400.23)
MOP setpoint down
0x2631:024 (P400.24)
Response of the funcon
FALSE FALSE The last MOP value is maintained.
TRUE FALSE The MOP value is increased to a maximum of the upper limit value for the respecve operang
mode with the acceleraon me 2.
(The motor follows the setpoint change with acceleraon me 1.)
FALSE TRUE The MOP value is increased to a maximum of the lower limit value for the respecve operang
mode with the deceleraon me 2.
(The motor follows the setpoint change with deceleraon me 1.)
TRUE TRUE The last MOP value is maintained.
The starng performance can be selected in 0x4003 (P413.00). In the default seng, the last
MOP value is used as the inial value. The last MOP value remains available aer switching
the mains voltage o and on again. As an alternave, an adjustable inial value or the mini-
mum value can be used for starng.

Funcon list: MOP setpoint up
(Funcon list: MOP up)
Further seng opons: 4Trigger list ^ 64
Assignment of a trigger for the "MOP setpoint up" funcon.
Trigger = TRUE: setpoint generated by the "Motor potenometer" func-
on ("MOP value") is maximally increased to the upper range limit with
acceleraon me 2.
Trigger = FALSE: last MOP value is maintained.
Notes:
If the "MOP setpoint up" and "MOP setpoint down" funcons are
acve at the same me, the last MOP value is maintained.
Acceleraon me 2 can be set in 0x2919 (P222.00).
0 Not connected No trigger assigned (trigger is constantly FALSE).
0x2631:024
(P400.24)
Funcon list: MOP setpoint down
(Funcon list: MOP down)
Further seng opons: 4Trigger list ^ 64
Assignment of a trigger for the "MOP setpoint down" funcon.
Trigger = TRUE: setpoint generated by the "Motor potenometer" func-
on ("MOP value") is maximally decreased to the lower range limit with
deceleraon me 2.
Trigger = FALSE: last MOP value is maintained.
Notes:
If the "MOP setpoint up" and "MOP setpoint down" funcons are
acve at the same me, the last MOP value is maintained.
Deceleraon me 2 can be set in 0x291A (P223.00).
0 Not connected No trigger assigned (trigger is constantly FALSE).
0x4003

MOP starng mode
(MOP startmode)
Selecon of the inial value which is used aer acvaon of the func-
on.
0 Last value The last MOP value is used as inial value. It is sll provided aer the
mains voltage has been switched o and on again.
Note: The last MOP value is saved in the internal EEPROM of the inver-
ter. If the memory module is transferred to a compable device, the last
MOP value will therefore not be accepted.
1 Starng value The starng value of the corresponding operang mode is used as inial
value:
0x4004:001 (P414.01) for the operang mode "MS: Velocity mode"
0x4004:002 (P414.02) for PID control
0x4004:003 (P414.03) for the operang mode "MS: Torque mode"
2 Minimum value The minimum value of the corresponding operang mode is used as ini-
al value:
0x2915 (P210.00) for the operang mode "MS: Velocity mode"
0x404E:001 (P605.01) for PID control
