5.6 Stopping performance
In the default seng, the motor is brought to a standsll aer a stop command with standard
ramp. Alternavely, coasng, ramping down with quick stop ramp or a switch-o posioning
can be selected.
Details
The stop method can be selected in 0x2838:003 (P203.03). The following diagram demon-
strates the dierent stop methods:

Stop method = "Coasng [0]": The motor coasts down.
Stop method = "Standard ramp [1]": The motor is brought to standsll with a deceleraon me 1 (here: 10 s).
Stop method = "Quick stop ramp [2]": The motor is brought to a standsll with the deceleraon me for quick stop (here: 1 s).
Stop method = "Switch-o posioning [3]": this method is similar to the stop method "Standard ramp". Depending on the current output
frequency, however, the inverter delays the beginning of the down-ramping so that the number of motor revoluons unl a standsll is
reached and thus the stopping posion is always relavely constant.
If "Enable inverter" is set to FALSE, the inverter is disabled. The motor becomes torqueless and coasts to standsll depending on the mass
inera of the machine (irrespecve of the set stop method).
