12.14 POWERLINK
POWERLINK is a real-me capable eldbus system based on Ethernet.
Detailed informaon on POWERLINK can be found on the web page of the Ethernet POW-
ERLINK Standardizaon Group (EPSG): hp://www.ethernet-powerlink.org
Informaon about the dimensioning of a POWERLINK network can be found in the cong-
uraon document for the inverter.
Precondions
The control unit (CU) of the inverter is provided with POWERLINK.
Features
The inverter is implemented as a controlled node (CN) in a POWERLINK network. It may only
respond to poll-request messages of a managing node (MN). See "Typical topologies" secon.
The network opon can both be supplied internally by the standard device and externally
by a separate voltage source.
Real me Ethernet with the Ethernet POWERLINK V2 communicaon prole for Moon
and general applicaons
A line topology can be set up by the integrated 2-port hub.
Supported funconalies: POWERLINK CN
Very short CN response mes for opmum network performance
Access to all inverter parameters
The following is not supported:
Firmware download via POWERLINK
