12.10.5 Parameter download
Parameter sengs are not stored in a power failure safe manner when using the inverter as a
system drive in the Lenze system. All inverter sengs that deviate from the Lenze default set-
ting are held centrally in the Lenze controller and saved there persistently. All parameters are
transferred from the Lenze controller to the inverter during inializaon upon start-up.
All size-dependent parameters are not downloaded.
The parameters of the inverter are managed in the »PLC Designer« project. The »PLC
Designer« project, including the parameters, is saved on the engineering PC using the storage
funcon of »PLC Designer«. The »PLC Designer« transfers the parameters to the Lenze con-
troller when the controller is logged on to. The controller passes the parameter sets to the
subordinate controller. The parameter sets are wrien back to the inverter by the Lenze con-
troller every me the system starts.
There are three applicaon for managing and modifying parameters:
Modifying the parameters of an inverter online:
-
If a parameter is modied online, the »PLC Designer« writes the parameter directly to
the corresponding inverter and simultaneously modies the parameter in the »PLC
Designer«- project.
The parameter modicaon is not registered in the Lenze controller. The param-
eter modicaon in the inverter is lost when the controller is cold-started. Log
out and log back in again with the »PLC Designer« to avoid this. (Menu com-
mands: Online → Log out / Online → Log in)
-
In this case, the complete parameter set is wrien to the controller and transferred to
the inverter.
-
The parameter set is only available in the inverter and controller aer the transfer by
logging in unl the system is next shut down (not stored in a power failure safe man-
ner).
Modifying the parameters of an inverter oine:
-
If a parameter is modied oine, the »PLC Designer« modies the value directly in
the »PLC Designer« project. When logging into the Lenze controller, the complete
parameter set is wrien to the controller. It then transfers the parameter set to the
inverter.
-
The parameter set is only available in the inverter and controller aer the transfer by
logging in unl the system is next shut down (not stored in a power failure safe man-
ner).
Saving the parameters of the inverter in the Lenze controller so that they remain in the
device aer switching o:
-
A separate parameter set for the subordinate inverters is available in the boot project
of the Lenze controller. It is only updated if the "Create boot project" funcon is execu-
ted via the »PLC Designer«. The current parameterisaon is then saved and is available
aer the mains connecon. The stored parameter set is automacally wrien to the
inverter by the controller at boot-up following mains connecon.
-
If a boot project exists on the Lenze controller, the parameters of the inverter can also
be modied with »EASY Starter« and stored permanently.
Modifying parameters and permanently storing them.
1.Open »EASY Starter«.
2.Connect to the inverter online
3.Modify desired parameters.
