5.5 Starng performance
The start can be oponally made with DC braking or ying restart circuit. Moreover, an auto-
mac start can be acvated aer switch-on.

③ For demonstrang the ying restart circuit: At the me of the start command, the motor is not at a standsll (for instance due to loads with
high inera such as fans or ywheels).
④ Start method = "Flying restart circuit [2]": Aer the start command, the ying restart circuit is acve. The ying restart circuit serves to
restart a coasng motor on the y during operaon without speed feedback. The synchronicity between inverter and motor is coordinated
so that the transion to the rotang motor is eected without jerk at the me of connecon.

⑤ Start method = "Pre-magnesaon [3]": normal start and premagnesaon - this seng corresponds to the seng [0] normal, but adds the
premagnesaon of the motor before the motor rotaon begins. The premagnesaon property is generally relevant when operang in V/f
motor control modes.
Some asynchronous motors which have a lower stator resistance can experience high amperages when accelerang from a stopped/deac-
vated state. The premagnesaon property can reduce the motor current during the acceleraon and is able to generate a more even
acceleraon curve with this motor. A property of the start method is a slight delay before the motor acceleraon begins.
