6.3 Control/restrict direcon of rotaon of the motor
In the default seng, both direcons of motor rotaon are enabled. Oponally, the direcon
of rotaon can be restricted so that only a clockwise rotaon (CW) of the motor is possible.
Precondions
Wiring of the motor phases must be carried out correctly with regard to the direcon of
motor rotaon.
In the documentaon and the parameter selecon texts, the following terms are used for the
direcon of rotaon:
•
Forward = clockwise direcon of rotaon (CW)
•
Reverse = counter-clockwise direcon of rotaon (CCW)
Details
The direcon of rotaon of the motor can be controlled in various ways:
•
Via the funcon "Reverse rotaonal direcon". Possible triggers for the funcon "Reverse
rotaonal direcon" are available for selecon in 0x2631:013 (P400.13), e.g. the digital
inputs and internal status signals of the inverter.
•
Via the network. The denion of the direcon of rotaon is possible via the mappable
NetWordIN1 data word or one of the predened process data words.
•
By specifying a bipolar setpoint value via an analogue input. Either via a bipolar input
range (-10 ... +10 V) or the conguraon of a bipolar seng range.
If a reversal of rotaon is not required, the direcon of rotaon can be restricted in 0x283A
(P304.00) to "Only clockwise (CW) [0]".

Since this funcon only prevents negave setpoints, counter-clock-
wise rotaon (CCW) is possible if the motor has been wired for this
rotang direcon.
