Guide for this chapter
In the following subchapters, each motor control type is described in detail:
4Servo control for asynchronous motor (SC-ASM) ^ 169
4Sensorless control for synchronous motor (SL-PSM) ^ 170
4Sensorless vector control (SLVC) ^ 174
4V/f characterisc control for asynchronous motor (VFC open loop) ^ 176
4V/f characterisc control for asynchronous motor (VFC closed loop) ^ 192
This chapter also contains informaon on the following subjects:
4Parameterisable motor funcons ^ 194
4Opons for opmising the control loops ^ 213
4Motor protecon ^ 229
10.1 Servo control for asynchronous motor (SC-ASM)
The eld-oriented servo control is based on a separated control of the torque-producing and
eld-producing current components. The motor control is based on a feedback, eld-oriented
and cascaded controller structure and enables a dynamic and stable operaon in all four
quadrants.
Precondions
The servo control (SC ASM) is only suitable for asynchronous motors.
The servo control (SC-ASM) requires a feedback of the speed. A HTL encoder must be con-
nected to the inverter and set as feedback system for the motor control.
Details
Fundamentally, the servo control has the same advantages as the sensorless vector control
(SLVC). Compared to the V/f characterisc control without feedback, the following can be ach-
ieved by means of the servo control:
A higher maximum torque throughout the enre speed range
A higher speed accuracy
A higher concentricity factor
A higher level of eciency
The implementaon of torque-actuated operaon with speed limitaon
The limitaon of the maximum torque in motor and generator mode for speed-actuated
operaon
10.1.1 Required commissioning steps
1.
Conguring the feedback system^ 161
2.
Acvate motor control type: 0x2C00 (P300.00) = "Servo control (SC ASM) [2]".
3.
Carry out opmisaon of the control circuits.
An opmum operaon of this motor control type requires an opmisaon of the
control loops!
Details: 4Opons for opmising the control loops ^ 213
4.
Alternavely, the inverter can be congured in this motor control type in such a way that it
controls a motor torque within a dened frequency range. For details, see chapter "Cong-
uring the torque control". ^ 149
5.
Oponally for a speed control with torque limitaon in operang mode 0x6060 (P301.00)
= "MS: Velocity mode [-2]":
Select the source in 0x2949:001 (P337.01) for the posive torque limit source and set it
accordingly.
Select the source in 0x2949:002 (P337.02) for the negave torque limit source and set
it accordingly.
