6.10.4 SOE ALARMS
SOE alarms are major or minor alarms caused by an SOE trigger. When a trigger goes active, the
alarm goes active. See section 7.3.3 for information on setting SOE triggers to generate alarms.
Note that SOE alarms are not shown in the alarm configuration page. If all other alarm conditions are
inactive and the GARD is still showing an alarm, then the cause is an SOE alarm. This can be
confirmed by comparing the status of the latest SOE against the programming of SOE triggers.
SOE alarms will only change state when an SOE event occurs. If an SOE alarm is active and the user
changes the setting to make the trigger no longer key an alarm, the alarm will not clear until the next
SOE event.
