Front Cover
The front cover is easily raised and lowered to expose the platen for cleaning and paper jam
removal. The front cover locks in place and remains open after it has been raised. Two sensors
(micro-switches) on either end of the front cover detect when the cover is opened and closed.
When the pin on the left of the front cover is inserted correctly into its track [A], it slides down and
pushes a micro-switch [B] to the rear. This signals that the front cover is installed correctly. The open
switch signals a cover open error if the front cover is down but not correctly set in the track.
