Subtotaling
The Subtotal function calculates the total amount, the average amount, or the total number
of entries in the corresponding column.
1 With the generated report open in Point Report Viewer format, select Data > Subtotal
to open the
Subtotal dialog box.
2 Click in the
UseFunction field of the column that you want to calculate. The following
options are available:
Total
Calculates the total value of the column entries.
Average
Calculates the average value of the column entries.
Count
Calculates the total number of entries in the column.
Repeat this step for each column.
3 Click OK when you are finished.
Saving and exporting reports in Point Report Viewer
Saving reports
To save your report:
1 Select File > Save or File > Save As.
2 In the
SaveIn field, choose a destination directory.
3 In the
Filename field, enter a file name and click Save.
Point saves the file with the default extension of
.prv.
Exporting reports to XML
To export the results of a report in Point Report Viewer format to XML:
1 Select File > Export > XML.
2 In the
SaveIn field, choose a destination directory.
3 In the
Filename field, enter a file name, and click Save.
