Write the speed of the drive via Modbus
The drive speed can be changed via the modbus register 42102, see:
4Data mapping ^ 419
Example of an inverter with the node address 1:
Request frame by the master
Slave address Funcon code Data
Register address Network setpoint frequency (0.01)
0x01 0x06 0x08 0x35 0x04 0xD2
Response message from the inverter
Slave address Funcon code Data
Register address Network setpoint frequency (0.01)
0x01 0x06 0x08 0x35 0x04 0xD2
The drive now rotates with a frequency of 12.34 Hz.
Read the drive speed via Modbus
The drive speed can be read via the Modbus register 42002, see:
4Data mapping ^ 419
The funcon code 3 is used to read a single register or several interrelated register blocks, see:
4Funcon codes ^ 417
Example of an inverter with the node address 1:
Request frame by the master
Slave address Funcon code Data
Register address Number of words
0x01 0x03 0x07 0xD1 0x00 0x01
Response message from the inverter
Slave address Funcon code Data
Read bytes Frequency (0.01)
0x01 0x03 0x02 0x04 0xD1
The drive rotates with a frequency of 12.33 Hz.
Restart of the communicaon
A restart of communicaon is required aer changes of the interface conguraon (e. g. node
address and baud rate) in order that the changed sengs become eecve.
For restarng communicaon, there are two opons:
a)
Switch inverter o and on again.
b)
0x2320 (P508.00) Set = "Restart with current values [1]".
Parameter
Address Name / seng range / [default seng] Info
0x2320
(P508.00)
Modbus communicaon
(Modbus comm.)
1 = restart communicaon in order that changed sengs of the interface
conguraon become eecve.
