MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
3. Remove the radiator ca p (A ).
IMPORTANT:
Turn the cap (A) counterclockwise to the rst
notch to relie ve pressure before removing cap
completely.
4. Check the coolant in the radiator using an antifreeze
tester. Tester should indicate protection to
temperatures of -30°F (-34°C).
5. Inspect the radiator cap before reinstalling, refer to
Inspecting Radiator Cap, page 353.
6. Replace radiator cap (A).
7. Close the platform . Refer to 5.3.2 Closing Platforms
(Standard Position), page 310.
8. Close the hood. Refer to 5.2.4 Closing Hood (Highest
Position), page 308.

Checking Coolant
Level
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove
the key from the ignition before leaving the operators seat for any reason.
Check coolant level in the coolant recove ry tank (A) daily.
1. Stop the engine and remove the key.
2. Open the hood. Refer to 5.2.3 Opening Hood (Highest
Position), page 307.
3. Open the platform. Refer to 5. 3.1 Opening Platform s
(Standard Position), page 309.
NOTE:

466.
4. Close the platform . Refer to 5.3.2 Closing Platforms
(Standard Position), page 310.
5. Close the hood. Refer to 5.2.4 Closing Hood (Highest
Position), page 308.

Changing Coolant
Coolant should be drained and the system ushed and lled with new coolant every 2000 hours or 2 years.
