MAINTENANCE AND S ERVICING
1. The battery main disconnect switch (A) is located on
the right cab-forward frame rail beside the batteries.
Ensure battery switch (A) is switched to POWER OFF
position.
2. Open the right cab-forward platform to expose the
batteries. Refer to 5.3.1 Opening Platforms (Standard
Position), page 309.
3. Remove cable ties securing battery cables to
battery clamp.

4. Position new batteries (G) on dual battery support.
NOTE:
Ensure that batteries are positioned so that the
positive posts (C) fa ce aft.
5. Install strap (F) w ith bolts (E).
6. Rotate bar (B) into posit ion and sec u re with bolt (A).
7. Connect battery cables. Refer to Connecting Batteries,
page 375.
8. Close t he platform. Refer to 5.3.2 Closing Platforms
(Standard Position), page 310.

To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove
the key from the ignition before leaving the operator ’s seat for any reason.
