Parameters

Description
Use the flow-control command to enable flow control on an Ethernet port. This
avoids discarding data packets due to congestion. Use the
undo flow-control
command to disable flow control.
By default, flow control is disabled.
Example
To enable flow control on port “Ethernet1/0/1”, enter the following.
<SW5500>system-view
System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
[SW5500]interface Gigabitethernet 1/0/1
[SW5500-GigabitEthernet1/0/1]flow-control
interface Syntax

interface_type interface_num

interface_name

Parameter
interface_type:
Enter the interface type. This can be either ,
GigabitEthernet, TenGigabitEthernet, Cascade.
interface_number
: Enter the interface number in the format unit ID/slot
number/port-number.
The unit ID is a number in the range 1 to 8.
The slot number is a number in the range 0 to 2
The port number is a number in the range 1 to 28 or 1 to 52 depending on the
number of ports you have on your unit.
