Command Description
uname Displays the Oracle Solaris version.
pkg Displays the identification number of the SRU applied to Oracle
Solaris 11.
showwrev Displays the number of the fix/patch applied to Oracle Solaris 10.
ldm Displays the version of Oracle VM Server for SPARC.

8.1.4 Checking the Software Version
Log in to Oracle Solaris on a logical domain such as the control domain or root
domain to check the software version.
The software version may affect system operation. To investigate the cause of a
problem, change the system configuration, or do likewise, check the version of the
currently operating software
in advance.
Table 8-1 lists the commands for checking the software version.
