ESD
mat An
approved

mat
provides
protection
from
static
damage
when
used
with
a
wrist
strap.
The
mat
also
acts
as
a
cushion
to
protect
the
small
parts
that
are
attached
to
printed
circuit
boards.
Antistatic
bag/
ESD
safe
packaging
box
After
removing
a
printed
circuit
board
or
unit,
place
it
in
the
antistatic
bag
or
ESD
safe
packaging
box.
Caution
-
Do
not
connect
the
wrist
strap
clip
to
the
ESD
mat.
Connecting
the
wrist
strap
clip
to
the
chassis
ensures
that
the
operator
and
units
have
the
same
electrical
potential,
thus
eliminating
the
danger
of
static
damage.
