6.7.4 VCCAPE (1.2V, PCI Express Power) Decoupling
โข Three 0.1 ยตF ยฑ10%, 16V X7R capacitors are recommended.
โข One 10 ยตF,ยฑ20% 6.3V X7R capacitors are recommended as bulk decoupling.
6.7.5 VCC18 (1.8V - DDR2) Decoupling
VCC18 power pins are decoupled separately from the DIMMs. These recommendations
apply only to the VCC18 power pins. The decoupling of the DIMMs DDR2 power pins are
specified below.
โข Five 0.1 ยตF ยฑ10%, 16V X7R capacitors are recommended for the DDR2 power
plane (VCC18) for decoupling.
โข Three 10 ยตF,ยฑ20% 6.3V X7R capacitors are recommended as bulk decoupling.
6.7.6 VTTDDR (0.9V - DDR2_VTT) Decoupling
VTTDDR power pins are decoupled separately from the DIMMs. These
recommendations apply only to the VTTDDR power pins.
โข Ten 0.1 ยตF ยฑ10%, 16V X7R capacitors are recommended for the VTTDDR power
plane for decoupling.
โข Two 2.2 ยตF ยฑ10%, 10V X5R capacitors are recommended as bulk decoupling for
VTTDDR power plane decoupling.
6.7.7 V1P8_DDR (DIMM) Decoupling (CRB Power Reference)
These recommendations apply to the decoupling of the DIMMsโ power pins. All
decoupling capacitors should have direct connection to the V1P8_DDR power plane and
two vias to ground.
โข Six 100 ยตF ยฑ20%, 6.3V (electrolytic) capacitors are recommended as bulk
decoupling for the DIMMsโ power pins decoupling.
โข Eight 0.1 ยตF ยฑ10%, 16V X7R capacitors are recommended for the DIMMsโ power
pins decoupling.
6.7.8 VCC33 (3.3V) Decoupling
โข Three 0.1 ยตF ยฑ10%, 16V X7R capacitors are recommended to be placed near the
VCC33 power plane for decoupling. It is recommended that the designer use
ceramic capacitor 0603 package type.
โข Ten 10 ยตF,ยฑ20% 6.3V X5R capacitors are recommended as bulk decoupling.
6.7.9 VCC25 (2.5V GbE Voltage) Decoupling
โข Three 0.1 ยตF ยฑ10%, 16V X7R capacitors are recommended to be near the VCC25
power plane for decoupling. It is recommended that the designer use ceramic
capacitor 0603 package type.
โข One 2.2 ยตF ยฑ10%, 10V X5R capacitor is recommended.
โข One 10 ยตF,ยฑ20% 6.3V X5R capacitor is recommended as bulk decoupling.
