radius-server key
Configure a key for all RADIUS communications between the switch and the RADIUS host server.
Syntax
radius-server key [encryption-type] key
To delete a password, use the no radius-server key command.

The key configured on the switch must match the key configured on the RADIUS server daemon.
If the key parameter in the radius-server host command is configured, the key configured with the
radius-server key command is the default key for all RADIUS communications.

radius-server retransmit
Configure the number of times the switch attempts to connect with the configured RADIUS host server
before declaring the RADIUS host server unreachable.
Syntax
radius-server retransmit retries
To configure zero retransmit attempts, use the no radius-server retransmit command. To return to the
default setting, use the radius-server retransmit 3 command.

encryption-type (OPTIONAL) Enter either zero (0) or 7 as the encryption type for the key entered.
The options are:
• 0 is the default and means the key is not encrypted and stored as clear text.
• 7 means that the key is encrypted and hidden.
key
Enter a string that is the key to be exchanged between the switch and RADIUS
servers. It can be up to 42 characters long.

radius-server host Configures a RADIUS host.
retries
Enter a number of attempts that FTOS tries to locate a RADIUS server.
Range: zero (0) to 100.
Default: 3 retries.
