Syntax
timer join-prune interval
undo timer join-prune
Default

Views
PIM view
Predefined user roles
network-admin
Parameters
interval: Sets a join/prune interval in the range of 0 to 18000 seconds. If you set the value to 0 seconds,
the switch does not send join or prune messages.
Usage guidelines
You can set the join/prune interval for all interfaces in PIM view or for the current interface in interface
view. The configuration made in interface view takes priority over the configuration made in PIM view.
The configuration takes effect after the current interval ends.
To prevent the upstream neighbors from expiring, you must configure the interval for sending join/prune
messages to be less than the joined/pruned state holdtime timer.
Examples
# Set the global join/prune interval to 80 seconds on the public network.
