Demoprofiles
Profilesareavailableforsimulationanddemonstrationpurposes.Ademo
movie,storedonexternalstorage,canalsobesettoplaywhenademo
profileisactivatedandinactivityhasbeendetectedfor60seconds.
SelectingademoprofilewillprovideyourMFDwithsimulateddatatohelp
youpracticeoperatingyourdisplay .
Important:
•ItisrecommendedthatdemoprofilesareNO
Tactivatedwhilst
navigating.
•Userdatasuchaswaypoints,routes,andtracksissharedwithallthe
otheruserprofilesontheMFD.Thismeansthat,forexample,ifyouadd
ordeleteawaypointwhileusingademoprofile,thechangewillalsobe
reflectedinallotheruserprofilesontheMFD.
•DemoprofileswillNOTdisplayanyrealdata,includingsafetywarnings
andmessages.
•AnysettingschangesmadewillnotaffectUserprofiles.
Demomovierequirements
Ademomoviefilecanbesettoplaywhenademoprofileisactiveandthe
MFDhasnotbeenusedfor60seconds.
Demomoviefilesmustbeinthe.movfileformatandencodedusingthe
H.264videocodecstandard.TheDemomoviefilesmustbesavedtoan
externalstoragedeviceconnectedtotheMFD.Demomoviesarenotshared
acrossnetworkedMFDs.
WhentheDemomoviefeatureisactivatedthesystemwillsearchforademo
moviefileassociatedwiththeactivedemoprofile.Ifanassociatedfilecannot
befoundthenthegenericdemo.movisplayed.Seebelowforfilename
