1.TheMOBalarmcanbeactivatedbypressingandholdingontheMOB
iconontheHomescreen.
2.TheMOBalarmcanalsobeactivatedbypressingandholdingonthe
waypoint/MOBiconlocatedatthetopofallMFDapps.
TheMOBfeaturerequiresyourvesseltohaveavalidpositionfixfromaGNSS
(GPS)receiver .DeadreckoningmodealsorequiresHeadingandSpeeddata.
WhenyouactivatetheMOBalarm:
•anaudiblealarmissoundedwhichisrepeatedevery30secondsuntil
thealarmiscancelled.
•aMOBDatabarprovidingBearingandrangefromMOB,andelapsedtime
sinceMOBwasinitiated,isdisplayedalongthetopofthescreen.The
DatabarpersistsacrossappsandtheHomescreen,andremainsuntilthe
MOBalarmiscancelled.
•aMOBwarningisdisplayedinthebottomofthescreen,whichrequires
acknowledgement.
•theChartappisplacedinaspecialMOBmodetohelpyounavigateback
tothepointyourvesselwasatwhentheMOBwasinitiated.
MOBmode
MOBcanbesettoDeadReckoningorPositionmode.DeadReckoning
modewilltakeintoconsiderationtheeffectsofwindandtides.Thisusually
providesamoreaccuratecourse.Positionmodedoesnottakethesefactors
intoaccount.Y oucanchangetheMOBmodeatanytimefromtheAlarms
menu:[Homescreen>Alarms>Settings>MOBdatatype:].

TheMFDcandisplayDSCdistressalertinformationreceivedbyaconnected
DSCVHFradio.
WhenDSCalarmsareenabled([Homescreen>Alarms>Settings>DSC
alarms])ifaDSCdistresscallisreceivedbyyourDSCVHFradioanotification
isdisplayedontheMFD.
