5.Measuretheactualwatertemperatureusingathermometer.
6.Checkyourreadingagainstthedisplayed[Currenttemperature].
7.Ifthereadingsarenotthesame,select[Calibratetemp]andenterthe
differencebetweenyour2readings.
Pingdepthlimit
Whenhigh-poweredtransducersaresearchingforabottomlock,theycan
searchdowntoamaximumof3,048m(10,000ft),duringthesonar’shunt
cycle.Thismeansitcantakesometimetoacquireorre-acquireabottom
lock.T ohelpimprovesonarbottomlockre-acquisitiontimeonhighpowered
transducers,apingdepthlimitcanbeset.
WhenusingaCHIRPornon-CHIRPhighpower(greaterthan600W)
transducerconnectedtothe1kWtransducer,the[Pingdepthlimit]control
willbeavailableintheFishfinderapp’s[Transducer]settingsmenu:[Menu>
Settings>Transducer>Pingdepthlimit].
Important:
•The[Pingdepthlimit]shouldonlybeenabledwhenproblemsare
e xperiencedre-acquiringdepthreadingsafterthesonarhaslostdepth
readings.
•Once[Pingdepthlimit]isenabled,whensailinginwatersdeeperthan
thespecifieddepthlimit,theFishfinderapp/transducerwillnotbeable
toestablishadepthreading/bottomlock.
ThePingdepthlimitcontrolenablesyoutospecifyadepthlimitthatyour
sonarwillsearchdownto
.Itisrecommendedthislimitissettoadepthof
approximately25%to50%deeperthanthemaximumwaterdepthyouwant
touseyourFishfinderin.E.g.:In200ftmaxdepthwater,thepingdepthlimit
shouldbesetbetween250ftand300ft.
