Automaticturning
AutomaticturningenablesEvolution™autopilotstoautomaticallyturntothe
nextwaypointinaroute.Whenthecurrentwaypointarrivalradiushasbeen
reachedacountdownwillcommence,andwhenitreacheszerothevessel
willautomaticallyturntowardthenextwaypoint.
TheAutomaticturningfeaturerequiresyourEvolutionautopilottobe
runningsoftwareversion3.14orlater.
Note:
W aypointsmustbefartherapartthanthe[Arrivalradius(pilotistrack
mode)]distance.
A utomaticturningisdisabledbydefault.Automaticturningcanbeenabled
andconfiguredfromthe[Autopilot]settingsmenu:[Homescreen>Settings>
Autopilot>Automaticallyturntonextwaypoint].
Duringactivenavigation,Automaticturningcanalsobeenabledanddisabled
fromthe[Navigation]menu:[Menu>Navigation>Auto.turn].
Configuration
•[Arrivalradius(pilotistrackmode)]—Theautomaticturningtowaypoint
notificationisdisplayedwhenyourvesselreachesthespecifieddistance
fromthecurrentactivewaypoint.
•[A
utomaticallyturntonextwaypoint]—Whenthisoptionisenabled,your
vesselautomaticallyturnstothenextwaypointinaroute.
•[Audiblewarningatautomatic-turns]—Whenthisoptionisenabled,the
MFDwillsoundanaudiblebeepasthecountdownreacheszero.
•[Automaticturntimeout]—Determinesthelengthofthecountdowntimer.
Ifthewaypointarrivalalarmisenabled,theAutomaticturningtowaypoint
notificationisused.
Automaticturningtowaypointnotificationexample
Select[Disengagepilot]fromtheturningtowaypointnotificationto
disengagetheautopilotandpreventthevesselfromautomaticallyturning.
Ifthewaypointarrivalalarmisdisabled,thebriefautomaticturning
notificationisdisplayedinsteadofthefullturningtowaypointnotification.
