When[Showsoundings]issetto[All]alldepthsoundingswillbedisplayed.
Depthcontours
Depthcontours,alsoknownasbathymetriccontoursordepthcurves,are
linesdrawnoncartographythatconnectpointsofequaldepthcreatinga
visualizationofunderwaterbottomstructure.Contoursusecolorfillsto
indicatedepthinrelationtoothercontours.
Rastercharts
OnRastercharts,depthcontoursarefixedandarealwaysdisplayed.
Vectorcharts
OnVectorcharts,depthcontourscanbecustomizedfromthe[Depths]
settingsmenu:[Menu>Settings>Depths>Showcontours.].
DepthcontoursincludeDepthsoundings.TheDepthcontoursoundingsare
differentiatedfromotherDepthsoundingsbyusingawhiteoutline.

ExampleLightHouse™ChartsDepthcontours
1.Shallowcontour—Depthsfromzerotothedepthspecifiedinthe
[Shallowcontour]settingwillbewithintheShallowcontour.Bydefault,
theShallowcontourusesthedarkestshadeofblue.
2.Safetycontour—Depthsfromthe[Shallowcontour]tothedepth
specifiedinthe[Safetycontour]settingwillbewithintheSafetycontour.
TheSafetycontourusesathickerlinethanothercontourlinesandis
coloredusingamediumshadeofblue.
Important:TheSafetycontourshouldbesettothesamevalueasyour
vessel’s[Minimumsafedepth]andshouldbeusedtoidentifyareas
whereyoushouldnottakeyourvessel.
3.Depthcontour—AllDepthcontoursconsistofalineanddepth
soundingsthatappearalongtheline.
4.Deepcontour—Depthsfromthe[Safetycontour]tothedepthspecified
inthe[Deepcontour]settingwillbewithintheDeepcontour.Bydefault,
theDeepcontourusesthelightestshadeofblue.Bydefault,depths
greaterthantheDeepcontourwillbecoloredwhite.
Shallowcontour,SafetycontourandDeepcontourvaluescanbecustomized
fromthe[Depths]settingsmenu:[Menu>Settings>Depths].
