correctbearingrelativetoyourboat’sbow.Y oushouldcheckthebearing
alignmentforanynewinstallation.
ExamplemisalignedRadar
1.T argetobject(suchasabuoy)deadahead.
2.TargetdisplayedontheRadardisplayisnotalignedwiththeShip's
HeadingMarker(SHM).Bearingalignmentisrequired.
Checkingalignment
Alignthebowwithastationaryobjectbetween0.25and2NMaway.
Reducethegaintomakethetargetassmallaspossibleonthescreen.
NotethepositionoftheobjectontheRadarscreen.Ifthetargetisnot
undertheship’sheadingmarker(SHM),thenbearingalignmentadjustment
isrequired.
Adjustingalignment
Adjustthe[Bearingalignment]settinguntilthetargetobjectappearsunder
theSHM.
The[Bearingalignment]settingcanbeaccessedfromthe[Installation]tab:
[Menu>Installation>Bearingalignment].
Note:
Heading(HDG)isdisplayedintheRadarapplication.Pleasebeawarethat
bearingalignmentreferstotherelativebearingoftargetstothevessel's
bowusingvisualchecks/traditionalmeans.

supportedbyyourRadarscannerareshown.
