Appendix J Multi-Voice Service
(Release software at end of 2013 will support)
Inmarsat Multi-Voice service is available on JUE-501/JUE-251. Multi-Voice service
enables the user to use several Voice calls at the same time or to use several phone
number (MSISDN) for the Voice service. A maximum of nine Voice calls are available at
the same time and a maximum of nine Voice MSISDNs (one Primary Voice MSISDN and
eight Additional Voice MSISDNs) are available on the Multi-Voice service. The MSISDNs
can be assigned to the each terminal connected to the JUE-501/JUE-251.
Multi-Voice service makes Voice service on PS connection (PS-Voice) in addition to Voice
service on CS connection (CS-Voice). Both PS-Voice service and CS-Voice service are
available on the terminal to which Primary Voice MSISDN has been assigned. Which
service of CS-Voice service or PS-Voice service is used is settled on automatically by the
main unit. Only PS-Voice service is provided on the Terminals to which Additional Voice
MSISDN has been assigned.
PS connection will be established automatically regardless of the existence or
non-existence of the practical data exchange when Multi-Voice has been enabled. The PS
connection can be confirmed with the user name “Multi-Voice” on the Active Connection
List on Dashboard screen or on Data Connection screen. The PS connection made by the
“Multi-Voice” user is not charged.
Note
* A contract with your SIM distribution partner is needed to use Multi-Voice service.
* Quick forwarding of a voice call is unavailable when Multi-Voice has been enabled. Use
Announced forwarding when Multi-Voice has been enabled. See [Sec.5.2.3 Forwarding a call to the
other terminals] about call forwarding.
* When PS-Voice communications are performed, the logs of PS connection with the user name
"Multi-Voice" are recorded other than the logs of Voice service. They are charged only for Voice
service―the PS connections made by the “Multi-Voice” user are not charged.
