2.6 IMAGE POSITION CORRECTION
The image position sensor [A] is located in the LCT paper path above the paper
path and in front of the LCT exit rollers. (This sensor is mounted on its own control
board.)
The sensor is a CIS (Contact Image Sensor). It checks the side edges of each
sheet as it passes, and feeds this information back to the machine.
If the side-to-side registration of the paper is slightly out of alignment, the machine
will correct the image position when the laser writes the image on the surface of the
drum. This function does not correct the position of the paper.
