Toner Hopper Empty Detection
The toner hopper sensor [A] detects whether there is enough toner in the toner
hopper.
The toner hopper sensor checks for toner once when the toner supply roller clutch
turns on. When there is only a small amount of toner inside the toner hopper and
pressure on the toner hopper sensor becomes low, the toner hopper sensor
outputs a pulse signal for each copy. Then the toner supply pump supplies more
toner to the toner hopper.
