WhenyouconnectaPDMorTRAMthatcontainsanMRNthatmatchestheMRN
enteredonthemonitor,thepatientinformationanddataisautomaticallyloaded
fromthePDMorTRAMtothemonitorandacaseisautomaticallystarted/patientis
admitted.
WhenyouconnectaPDMorTRAMthatcontainspatientinformationbuttheMRN
doesnotmatchtheMRNenteredonthemonitor,theContinuemenuappears.
NOTE
Whendataiscombinedeitherautomaticallyormanually,
onlythedataafterthelastmoduledisconnectionisloaded.
Toloadalltrends,dischargethepatientfromthemonitor
andmakesurethatthePDM/TRAMisnotconnectedtothe
monitor.Thenreconnectthemodule.
TheContinuemenuhastwoinformativeeldsonthetop:thePatientinthemonitor
andthePatientinthePDMorPatientintheTram.TheseeldsshowtheMRNand
NameofthePatientinformationifthereisanactivecase/admittedpatient.Selectone
ofthefollowingtocontinuemonitoring:
●LoadPDMData/LoadTramData:Thisselectionerasesthepatientdatafromthe
monitorandloadsthedatafromthemodule.
●ContinueCurrent:Monitoringwillcontinuewiththepatientdatafromthemonitor.
Ifthepatientidenticationisnotthesameontheacquisitionmoduleandthe
moniotor,thisselectionerasesthepatientdatafromthemonitorandcontinues
withthepatientcurrentlyonthemodule.
●ErasePDMData/EraseTramData:Thisselectionerasesthepatientdatafrom
themodule.
●CombineData:Thisselectioncombinesthepatientdatafromthemodulewith
thatofthemonitorevenifthepatientidenticationisdifferentorithasnotbeen
entered.UsethisselectionifnoMRNhasbeenenteredoryouknowforcertainthat
youwillcontinuemonitoringthesamepatient.Thisselectionmayalsobeuseful
iftherehasbeenatypingmistakeorsomeotherminorerrorwhenenteringthe
patientidentication.Anyinformationavailableinonedeviceandnotintheother
willoverwritethemissinginformation.Becarefulwhenusingthisselection.Ifyou
arenotabsolutelycertainthatitisthesamepatientonthemonitorandmodule,do
notcombinethedata.
●Discharge:Thisselectiondeletesthepatientdatafromthemoduleandfromthe
monitor.
IfyouconnectaPDMorTRAMmoduleandthereisnopatientinformationordatain
themoduleorinthemonitor,themonitoringdoesnotstartandtheContinuemenu
doesnotappear.
WhenyouselecttoerasedataordischargeapatientintheContinuemenu,the
patient’svitalsignscannotbeobservedduringtheerase/dischargecycletime.
IftheContinuemenuisopenwhenarequestfortimeadjustmentisreceived,the
adjustmentwillbedelayeduntilthemenuisclosedanddatahasbeenloaded.
