3.PlugtheadaptercableintotheCAPNOSTATMainstreamorDualCO2module.
4.ConnectthesamplelinetotheCapnoFlexLFmodulebutnottothepatient.
5.ConnecttheCapnoFlexLFmoduleintotheCapnoFlexLFadapter.Themessage
Warmingupappearsonthescreen.Waituntilitdisappears.
6.IfthemessageCalibratesensorappears,performcalibration.
7.Blocktheopenendofthesamplelineornasalcannula.ThemessageSample
lineblockedshouldappearwithin60secondsonthemonitordisplaytoensure
thatthemonitorrecognizesblockages.
8.RemovethesamplelinefromtheCapnoFlexLFmoduleandreinsertittoreturn
themoduletonormaloperation.
9.Connectthesamplelinetothepatient’sbreathingcircuit.

CapnoFlexLFadaptercalibrationshouldbeperformedwheneverthemessage

1.PlacethesamplelineawayfromallsourcesofCO

,includingthepatient’sexhaled
breath,yourexhaledbreath,andventilatorexhaustvalves.
2.Withtheadapterconnectedtothesensor,thesensorconnectedtothemonitor,
andthepumpturnedon,selectagasrelatedparameterwindow.
3.SelecttheCalibrationtab.
4.SelectStartCalibrating.
ThemessageCalibratedappearsonthescreenafterasuccessfulcalibration.Ifthe
calibrationfails,themessageCalibrationerrorappearsinstead.Inthiscase,perform
anewcalibration.
